Mara Studio began with a single sketch — a slender column to hold a single rolled yoga mat, set on a wider chamfered base, joined with brass.

Every pillar is turned on a lathe by hand. We choose Kenyan-finished oak for its warm grain and density, and finish each piece with food-safe hardwax oil so it ages gracefully with use.

The brass dowels at the joinery are not decorative — they are how the base and the column hold together. We just leave them showing.
